Home Fitness Market Grows in 2020
Lebanon, PA- based Regupol reports flooring sales hit all-time high in wake of Coronavirus
Sports and athletic flooring products manufacturer, Regupol US said it increased production of its REGUPOL Aktiv & REGUPOL AktivLok flooring lines in 2020 to meet the growing demand of the home fitness market.
With most gyms closed or having limited access and the virus keeping everyone indoors, consumers are turning to home equipment to stay fit while confined, Matt Montano, REGUPOL Sales Manager for the sports division, said. “Since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020, sales of our Regupol Aktiv and AktivLok fitness flooring has increased by 330 percent,” he said.
A great floor needs to protect the equipment and subfloor, provide a level of safety, absorb the impact of dropped weights and most importantly, stabilize and keep the equipment in place.o
REGUPOL Aktiv is ideal for use under cardio and strength machines and for the average homeowner, can easily be installed, requiring little to no installation. It’s available in custom-cut lengths, and homeowners can choose from three thicknesses and 28 colors to create the floor that best suits their fitness needs.
REGUPOL AktivLok interlocking tiles easily lock together for a virtually seamless appearance and fit every space. The 24″x 24″x 3/8″ AktivLok tiles offer homeowners enhanced shock absorption in light to moderate weight-lifting areas. Designed to be loose-laid–no adhesive needed—ActivLok tiles are the perfect DIY solution. They are available in five standard color options—Jet Black, Gray Hound, Jayz Blue, Titan Tan, and Firestorm Red.
“Our fitness flooring has the qualities homeowners seek; it’s durable, easy to install, looks great, and it’s got grip,” Montano said.
