First performance vinyl tile, Heritage Motivate, has reclaimed tire rubber base layer

The future of performance vinyl tile (PVT) has arrived with the introduction of Heritage Motivate, a new high-performance and visually stunning flooring surface from Ecore, a company that transforms reclaimed materials into high-performance products that make people’s lives better. The first PVT offering from Ecore, Heritage Motivate, was designed to be safer, quieter and more ergonomic than traditional LVT products.

More than just a luxury vinyl tile (LVT), Heritage Motivate performance vinyl tile (PVT), is a revolutionary addition to Ecore’s product offerings. Featuring a fiberglass reinforced 2mm vinyl surface layer bonded to a 5mm vulcanized composition rubber (VCR) base layer, the 21mil wear layer provides commercial grade durability paired with the in-demand looks of realistic wood. The true-to-life look of the surface layer has natural wood variations among the planks for an authentic woodgrain look with backing by a Motivate base layer that uses Ecore’s itsTRU technology that fusion bonds vulcanized composition rubber (reclaimed tire rubber) to provide excellent safety and ergonomic performance.

“We’ve created a vinyl tile product that simply performs better,” Bo Barber, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Ecore, said.  “With Heritage Motivate, you get realistic wood visuals with the same, exceptional Ecore performance you expect, but in plank format. This groundbreaking new offering is sure to be a transformative product in the flooring industry.”

Heritage Motivate is safer and more ergonomic than traditional LVT products with an absorption of impact energy (force reduction) of 10.6 percent and a useful return of impact energy (energy restitution) of 66.7 percent. Ideal for a full range of interior applications from health & wellness facilities to offices, education, fitness spaces, schools, retail locations, living spaces and more, it’s easy to install, ergonomic underfoot, and easy to clean and maintain.
