Ehrenfried Liebich was involved in the early stages of tire recycling by providing compact granulating equipment to markets in the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, and Europe.

As CEO of ARS (Advanced Recycling Sciences Inc.) and its subsidiary Poseidon Products GmbH, Ehrenfried introduced the first rubberized asphalt test roads in Germany. These roads, located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, are performing well to this day.

After initially retiring, Ehrenfried —an eternal entrepreneur—quickly realized that “to retire is to expire.” He decided to revisit some of his previous patented products that were never implemented.

Leveraging state-of-the-art technology, he combined low voltage electricity with low power-consuming heating elements to produce heated consumer products. These innovations include portable heated seats that use recycled tire crumb rubber matting as thermal insulation, transforming any surface into a heated one.

The target markets for these mobile, heated products span a wide range of applications, including outdoor markets, sporting events, outdoor patio seating, fishing, RV owners, pets, and industrial uses like construction and agriculture—essentially wherever people want to sit on a warm, dry, and comfortable surface.

Additional consumer-related products using tire-derived materials have gone through the design and prototyping phases and will be introduced in due course.
