New England Communities Choose perkEpave

Slip resistant, ADA compliant and extremely permeable; perkEpave is made with recycled tire rubber and specified by the Department of Transportation as a flexible porous paving for the safe routes to school program. It is crack resistant and used for sidewalks, tree surrounds, playgrounds, and driveways in many communities across the USA.

The city of Boston, MA and South Windsor, CT are two of the latest communities embracing the perkEpave technology. “I wasn’t familiar with perkEpave and was hesitant about installing the paving,” South Windsor Engineer Jason Scott said. “We installed the product for the ADA access path to our municipal building. I was impressed; perkEpave was simple and easy to install, attractive and the recycled tires in the mix created a shock absorbing, slip resistant walkway.”

Esther Diaz, South Windsor, Contract Compliance Administrator was also happy with the path. “I walk the path every day and I love it,”  Diaz said. Hesitant at first Diaz, is happy with the walkway; it’s not slippery when wet and walking the path in heels is a pleasure; it looks great,” she said.

Boston, MA is another city where perkEpave is solving problems, replacing tree damaged sidewalks, eliminating impervious surface, and saving on maintenance costs.

Danien Darosa the owner of Darosa Asphalt Surfaces recently installed perkEpave in the Roxbury section of Boston, MA. “The architect solved the problem of trees and sidewalks with perkEpave”  Darosa said. “The product crack resistant and extremely permeable; allowing water to feed the trees.”
